What I’m Loving: Volume 1

Hi again! Here’s a little roundup of what’s been on repeat for me lately — a mix of the practical and the purely fun.

Prequel Half and Half Moisturizer: I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and I’m genuinely impressed. It is very hydrating, feels amazing on my skin, and is great under moisturizer. I also heard it’s a good dupe for the Rhode Glazing Milk? If you’re looking to switch something up in your routine, this one’s worth a look. I found mine at Target!

Anything by Abby Jimenez: I’m a huge Abby Jimenez fan!! Her books hit that perfect combination of funny, swoony, and surprisingly emotional. I always find myself smiling when reading her books. Sometimes they take a second to pick up, but I always finish her books quickly! I just finished her most recent one, “The Night We Met.”

Lands’ End Swimsuits: Probably not on your radar but hear me out- Lands’ End swimsuits are genuinely well made, come in sizes that fit long torsos (hello, me), and hold up wash after wash. I have loved their one pieces recently, but I am really wanting to try their swim skirts too! Some of their patterns and prints are not great, but I’ve found some cute ones!

Travel: I have been traveling a lot this summer with my one year old. Some flights I’ve had help with, and some flights I’ve done solo. Solo is definitely way harder, especially since my baby is my lap child (and she is SO ACTIVE), but we make it work. I always tell my friends that I don’t want my fear of traveling alone with her to hold me back from going to fun places or to visit family.

Poshmark: I’ve become a little obsessed with thrifting through Poshmark lately. I’ve found some great finds recently. I love looking for Hill House dresses on here (and have scored a few for $50!!!), and I find that if you are specific about the style and brand, you can find some good things! Sometimes it takes some digging, too. If you haven’t tried it, it’s worth poking around for ten minutes just to see what’s out there. Mercari is another option for finding used clothes, but I find better luck with Poshmark.
